Congratulations to everyone that attended the AETF European Championships in Slovenia. The competition was amazing, the competitors true sportsmen and women and the organisation second to none again. How fantastic is this? It’s Euro’s time again and Zizania are once again proud to be supporting the England team by being the Team photographer. As last year, I’d like to congratulations to all of the competitors, instructors, coaches and supporters for all their hard work leading up to the event and wish you all the best of luck. Also a huge thank you to the masters, umpires and ring judges that will be making the event so fantastic. Today is Remembrance Day, a day that commemorates the sacrifices of armed forces and civilians in times of war. Artificial poppies are bought and worn as a mark of respect. Although the 11th is the actual Remembrance Day a two minute silence is observed at war memorials and other public spaces across the UK at 11am on Remembrance Sunday. And at these locations and for weeks after you will see decorative wreaths of poppies placed at these memorials. They can make an interesting subject for photographers. Gear Any compact camera or SLR can be used to photography memorials and artificial poppies. As long as it has a lens with a  fairly close focus you will be able to shoot closer shots of individual poppies or wreathes, and a wide angle will help you take...
